Become a BSC Representative and help strengthen the connection between your school and the broader Black Student Coalition network. As a Representative, you'll be part of the leadership foundation of our student-led organization — serving as an ambassador for BSC within your school community and helping build a more connected, empowered student network.
What you'll do
Reps are the link between BSC and their school — the ones who make sure their community knows what's happening and feels welcome to show up.
Represent the Black Student Coalition at your school and promote our mission.
Share BSC updates, events, and opportunities with peers and faculty.
Encourage student participation in BSC General Meetings and programs.
Help coordinate and host BSC meetings or events at your school.
Collaborate with the Executive Team to organize impactful school-based initiatives.

Good to know before you apply
Applications for representatives are accepted on a rolling basis.
Representatives support BSC by promoting BSC programs within their schools, encouraging students to attend meetings, helping to secure space for gatherings when possible, and motivating peers to join and participate in signature events such as Winter Wonderland, Birthday Dinners, Black History Month Celebration, Women's Brunch, and the BSC Whiteout Party.
Depending on your grade level (rising 9th through 12th), you will serve until you step down or graduate.
Yes. BSC recognizes student volunteers with community service awards for their dedication and contributions.
Infractions may result in disciplinary action or removal from your position. Each situation is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Yes. You must have an active BSC general membership to serve as a representative.
One Saturday a month, for 2–3 hours at a participating school — a mix of a presentation and social time. Reps lead the discussion when their school hosts.
