The Black Student Coalition (BSC) was founded in 2020 to create a vibrant inter-school community for Black students attending predominantly white institutions (PWIs) in New York City. It aims to bridge gaps and create a supportive environment for students facing unique challenges in their educational journeys.
BSC hosts various student-led initiatives that provide opportunities for members to translate their classroom experiences into real-world applications. These initiatives not only promote leadership skills but also create safe spaces for students to share their stories, build lasting connections, and transform being different into empowerment and collective action.
